Spring is here, and with it comes longer days, warmer mornings, and more opportunities to connect outside the office.

At Parker Scanlon, we believe that a strong team is built not just through shared projects, but through shared experiences. That’s why we occasionally take time out for corporate paddle afternoons with the Newcastle Outrigger Canoe Club. These sessions are more than just a break from the desk, they’re a chance to build trust, communication, and friendships outside of the office setting.

This past week, as winter drew to a close, the club sent us some stunning photos of Newcastle Harbour at sunrise, a reminder of the beauty we’re lucky to work and live around, and the energy that comes from starting the day together on the water.

Whether we’re navigating a project deadline or paddling in sync across the harbour, our focus is the same, working as one team. These moments outside the office help us stay connected, grounded, and ready to tackle whatever comes next.

Here’s to a new season of growth, both in our work and in the way we support each other.
