Celebrating St Jude’s Impact

Celebrating St Jude’s Impact

Tuesday 3 March 2026

Last night, Mark Scanlon our Managing Director attended an impactful evening with the Gosford North Rotary Club who hosted Gemma Sisia, the inspiring founder of The School of St Jude in Tanzania (East Africa). With more than 90 attendees in the room, Gemma shared the remarkable story of how the school has grown from just three students 24 years ago, into one of Tanzania's leading educational institutions. Today, St Jude’s proudly supports over 1,800 students and employs more than 300 staff, providing high‑quality education to children who would otherwise have limited access to opportunity.

Gemma was joined by two special guests, Faith and Johnson, who are both graduates of St Jude’s and are living proof of the school’s mission in action. Hearing their personal journeys, offered a reminder of just how far-reaching the impact of accessible education can be.

At Parker Scanlon, we are proud to have supported The School of St Jude for over 10 years. The school’s commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty through education has always been a driving factor for our support, as we continue to witness the incredible outcomes they achieve.

If you would like to learn more about the school’s work, or see how you can get involved, you can visit their website or even catch Gemma at one of the remaining stops on her 2026 Australian Tour  https://www.schoolofstjude.org/australian-tour-2026/

Supporting St Jude’s is more than a donation, it’s an investment in the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers. We encourage anyone with an interest in global education, community development, to simply explore how they can be part of this inspiring journey.
